Adventure Nevis is a Scottish based mountain guiding company who started off guiding private and charity groups up Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain. Many of these clients had a desire to climb Kilimanjaro, so in August 2010 I travelled to Tanzania and climbed the mountain. The Marangu Route is absolutely ideal and is the only route where you are not required to camp on the mountain as comfortable huts are available.
Do I Need A Guide To Climb Kilimanjaro?
Yes, you cannot climb Kilimanjaro on your own. You must employ a guide who has the relevant paperwork. Our local partner based in Moshi have the required KINAPA licence and also have Public Liability Insurance.
